A little update...

So if you hadn't noticed, I haven't been writing posts myself for the past few weeks. I've had a few busy weeks and I haven't had time to prepare posts (sorry ... I hope this is ok). Thank you for everyone who has guest posted for me... I really appreciate it, especially in this busy stressful time!

I am in my last few days of school now and I am prioritising my ALevels over my blog... I finish completely next Friday *dances* so after then, I will be able to completely prioritise my blog :) If you want to see me do any particular post, leave a comment below to let me know... I'll have loads of time on my hands :)
These past two weeks have been hectic (in good and bad ways)! I went to see Les Miserables (absolutely amazing, I need to see it again asap!) ... I had a 3 day ALevel Art exam (soooo longggg)... it was my 18th birthday (Thank you for the lovely birthday messages on twitter <3) I had a party to celebrate my 18th... I went to see SClub7 again (my childhood was well and truly relived haha) I finally left school and dressed up as Piglet for my leavers day (I was soooo hot I thought I was going to be roast pork by the end of the day), my best friend came down to visit (miss her like crazy) ... we went out to celebrate my sisters 23rd birthday... the list goes on! I am now preparing for my last exam and stress if filling my mind and body :( but I know that I can do it and I just need to try and think positively!

So, I just wanted to take this moment to say GOOD LUCK to everyone who is going through exams at the moment... Just keep on thinking of the summer ahead! YOU CAN DO IT!

Thank you for sticking by my blog even when I can't put all my heart and soul into it... the best is yet to come <3

Five Products I Can't Live Without || Guest Post by "Love, Krista"

Hello to all you lovely Petals of Perfection readers! My name is Krista, and I write a beauty blog called "Love, Krista". Sophie is super busy at the moment, so she kindly allowed me to guest post for her! Today I'll be sharing with you the five products that I can't live without; these are the gems that I repurchase over and over, because they're simply perfect in every way.
Maybelline The Falsies Waterproof Mascara
I'm onto my fifth tube of this mascara, and I'll never use any other. The curved wand is amazing at scooping up the lashes and coating each one from root to tip, ensuring each individual lash is dark and defined. The formula isn't too wet but definitely isn't dry, and it builds amazing volume and length. It layers easily, but never leaves me with clumpy lashes or the dreaded spider lash. I buy the waterproof version, because it helps hold a curl all day in my naturally stick-straight lashes.

Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Shampoo

When they say "Perfect Hair Day", they mean it! From a line co-owned by Jennifer Aniston, the Queen of Good Hair, would you expect anything less? This shampoo is gentle on tresses, containing no harsh sulfates, yet it cleanses well and gives you seriously amazing hair. My locks are soft, shiny, and tangle-free, even without using conditioner afterward! It's a little pricy, but in my opinion it's worth every penny.

Anastasia Brow Wiz
I've been searching for the perfect brow pencil for a long time, and I've finally found it. Like Jen Anniston, Anastasia is a queen in her own right - the Queen of Good Brows. Her products are to-die-for, and this pencil is no exception. The shade range is awesome (I use Taupe), and the fine point nib makes the strokes look super realistic, as if they were your own eyebrow hairs. The finished result is never over-drawn, but just the right amount of defining and shaping.

MAC Prolongwear Concealer
If you have a lot to cover up, this concealer will be your best friend! The coverage is amazing, but the finish is still natural and skin-like. You only need the teensiest bit, so one tube will last you ages. It's the only concealer I've tried that works equally well under the eyes as it does on other areas of the face. And as with all MAC base products, the shade range is great, with colors tailored towards both pink and yellow undertones.

Too Faced Natural Eyes Palette
Although I love my Naked Palette, this Too Faced offering is a slimmed down, better version of it. It contains the perfect mix of neutral shimmers and mattes, and it doesn't have any shades I don't use. The deep chocolate brown is perfect for smudging along the upper lashline, the medium browns look great in the crease, and the two lightest colors are perfect highlights. I love using the matte cream shade to blank out my eyelid before going in with the other colors, as it really makes the eyeshadows pop. It's also $20 cheaper than the Naked Palette, so you really can't go wrong!

What are your can't-live-without-them products?

Love, Krista

Guest Post: BeautyBud || Soap&Glory "Soaper Heroes" Review

Hi guys! I am so excited to be able to guest post. My name is Niamh and I have a blog called beautybud3598, you can find it at I post on Wednesdays and Sundays, about beauty and makeup. I hope to see some of you on there!
Today's post is all about my thoughts on the Soap&Glory "Soaper heroes" gift set. This retails for €18.00/£13.50. It includes 5 of their most loved products, all in carry on friendly sizes.
First off all I love this packaging. It is girly and pink (always a winner). Although the packaging is amazing, it is the products inside I am interested in.
What products does it include?

Clean on me, which is a creamy body wash that has their Original Pink fragrance. It also comes with a built- in body moisturiser. This body wash lathers great and is very luxurious. I absolutely love this and is a staple in my shower.
Flake away, this is a body scrub. It has the most amazing smell that is very hard to describe, yet Soap&Glory do have an in depth description on their site. This scrub isn't to abrasive so your skin doesn't feel any way raw. The way to sugar grains are dispersed in this product make it a winner for dead skin removal. I have also heard people say it is good for fake tan removal.
Girligo, this is a spray body moisturiser. First things first, this may be my favourite body care product ever. The spray nozzle make it super convenient when your on the go. This leaves the skin feeling soft with a light scent. The only bad thing is that I feel you use it up very fast.
Righteous butter, this is a body moisturiser. I love the way it sinks in quickly and does leave any sticky residue. It is also very soothing, probably because of the aloe vera it contains. I also like the way it is in a tub so I can use up every last bit.
Hand food, this is a hand cream. I feel like everybody and their mother loves this. I can totally understand why. It is super moisturising and is great for hydrating and soothing the skin. This is non- greasy. It actually contains marshmallow too, which kind of excites me. Also don't get me started on the scent. It is all round amazing product!
All in all, I would really recommend this set. It contains great products and for a great price. It would make a great gift for a birthday or Christmas present.
I hope you guys enjoyed this guest post. I want to thank Sophie for letting me guest post today.  If you want to see more of my post check me out on Thanks for reading!
Niamh xoxo

(Sophie: I have planned guest posts for the next few weeks while I am doing my exams and finishing school, this way I am still 'uploading' content! Thank you to everyone who has contacted me regarding guest posting. I'll be back properly in the next few weeks or so because it'll be my SUMMERRRR!)

Liz Earle Review

Last year, in the Boxing day sales I decided to take the plunge and buy some Liz Earle products. After hearing Gabriella Lindley (Velvetgh0st) raving about the brand, I knew that I wasn't wasting my money and I would not be disappointed. I am having constant battles with my skin... one minute it's sensitive and dry and then it's combination/oily... SKIN, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! So I was very apprehensive when I bought these products; little did I know that they would be a God send to my skin.

I managed to bag; the 'Cleanse & Polish' (100ml) & (30ml), the 'Light Repair Moisturiser' for combination/oily skin (50ml), the 'Eyebright soothing eye lotion' (50ml) and the 'Instant Boost Skin Tonic Spritzer' (30ml), as well as two muslin cloths... all for £29. Absolute bargain if I say so myself!

I started using all of these products at the beginning of January and by February/March, I had completely run out of both of the cleanse and polishes. *cries* I used this everyday to remove my make up, it broke down the make up so quickly and left my face feeling like I've just had a facial... pure bliss! The scent of it instantly calms me, as it reminds me of a spa or a beach for some reason haha!

Recently, I have heard a lot of people saying "If you have oily skin, you shouldn't moisturise!" ... DO NOT listen to this! You NEED to moisturise regardless of your skin type! I have combination/oily skin and I have chosen a moisturiser to suit my skin type and this one works perfectly ... the oils in the moisturiser combat the natural oils in your skin, therefore they reduce the excess oils. This moisturiser seeps into the skin instantly, which means you don't get that greasy feeling after; also creating the perfect base for make up!

After cleansing and moisturising my skin, I like to use the soothing eye lotion. It is the perfect way to 'wake up' your eyes and to reduce the dark circles. I like to apply some using a cotton pad and I just sweep it around my eyes. It feels so nice using this after having heavy eye make up on... it's like giving your eyes a drink haha! Then after all of this, I love using the tonic spritzer! It's the perfect way to hydrate your skin and give it the refreshing boost... especially in the morning when you have just woken up! I have nearly run out of this as well, so I will definitely be purchasing more as it will be great on those hot, sticky days in the Summer!

If you're looking for a new, quick and easy skin care routine then I could not recommend these products any more then I already have! Before I purchased this little 'kit', I didn't really have a proper skin care routine and I would just chuck loads of different products on my face, which actually 'damaged' my skin more then it did, 'fixing' it! Bur now I have a structured routine, which targets all the problematic areas of my face!

I hope you liked this weeks post... I have been feeling a bit 'blerghhh' at the moment, so sorry of my posts are not up to scratch, but after June I will be able to focus purely on my blog!
Comment below what your 'must have' skin care products are <3

I'm also looking for bloggers who would like to guest post on here, as I have a very busy month, so I may be unable to prepare posts. If you are interested, email me:

Thank you <3

Recently, I have been finding it extremely hard to think positively. I'm constantly anxious, worried or something will be playing on my mind. It always happens this time of the year because of stress from exams and the many changes that are about to happen in my life. I'm also finding it hard to talk to some of my friends because I know they have their own stress and crap to go through and I don't want to feel like a complete burden, but I want to thank them for cheering me up when they can ... but when they can't, I'd like to thank all of you lovely people in the blogging community, who have cheered me up and who have been there for me, when I need someone <3 If you ever need someone to talk to, you are more then welcome to DM me on Twitter (@petalsofperfect) <3

The lovely Tiffany from The Chill Blog shared her happiness post with me and I immediately fell in love with the idea. It's a great way to share positivity (as I know the blogging community can need it a lot sometimes) and it also helps you personally to think more positively and to have a different outlook on life.

The next month or so is going to be the most stressful and anxious months of my life so far... exams, stress, worry, change... the list goes on, but I also have a lot of things to be excited for; my 18th birthday, leaving school (FINALLY), a long relaxing summer which is very much needed, loads of concerts, seeing my best friend Nicole (HURRY UP AND COME DOWN HERE/ MOVE BACK) and spending as much time with my friends before they go off to uni all across the country.

I am beginning to get really excited for uni now, and I am pretty much ready for the change. I can't wait to meet new people and discover and learn new things. However, I still have that natural worry of uni and the work load and stress... but I know I can do it!

"Don't worry about the future, be excited!"

I'm going to do a quick list of things that make me happy and whenever I am feeling a bit 'down in the dumps', I can look back on this post and cheer myself up:

  • CATS CATS CATS... I am known for being a crazy cat lady. I have two of my own, Lottie and Bluebell and they manage to make me smile every second of the day. They know when I'm feeling upset, stressed or just generally a bit down because they will come up to me and nuzzle into my neck and give me a 'kiss'... there is nothing that makes me more happier then that!

  • YouTube... who doesn't love a bit of a YouTube binge every now and again?! I have been watching YouTubers for around 4-5 years now. I used to keep it a secret that I watched them because I thought people would find it weird that I enjoy watching someone go shopping for the day or just do little 'home errands' (Little did I know that there were millions of other people, soon to join the YouTube bandwagon) ...YouTube is the only thing that can truly make me 'escape' from my world and worries. I will always find time in the day to watch something, especially on a Sunday night, when pretty much EVERYONE uploads a video... my favourite thing to do on a Sunday evening, is wind down after a long and stressful week and watch Hannah and Stef Michalaks vlogs... something about them makes me instantly calm <3 Not forgetting #SUGGSUNDAY! Also... HOBBIE FRICKING STUART (who followed me on Twitter this week... that is another thing that has made me extremely happy recently haha!)

  • My sister, Hannah (yes I am finally including you in a post)... My favourite person in the whole entire world is my sister! She has always been there for me and I could not imagine a life without her... it would be extremely dull and boring, although I might be able to get more sleep because I would be able to avoid the 'late night philosophical questions'. She is such an inspiration to me and I constantly look up to her (theoretically, because she is shorter then me) and she motivates me everyday to be who I want to be and to achieve all I can achieve in life! #betchen as she would say ;)

These are just a few things that make me very very happy... and I will continue to think more positively in my stressful and nerve wracking times <3

"Always find a reason to smile."
"Never a failure, always a lesson."
"Never underestimate the power of being you."

I want to encourage all of you to write a similar post like this to spread the positivity and happiness... if you don't want to write a post, then that's fine, but I hope that this post has helped you in some sort of way <3 Or leave a comment with your top three things that make you happy, I'd love to hear them :)
